Dick's Guide to
Wealth
Merriam-Webster's College Dictionary defines wealth as more than money. The
dictionary explains that wealth pronounced as either 'welth' or 'weltth' is a
noun taken from Middle English welthe, in the 13th century. It has obsolete
meanings as WEAL and WELFARE, but today it means, an abundance of valuable
material possessions or resources (Thus, you might have a wealth of beauty, or
a bar filled with a wealth of lovers or beer), in this sense it means a PROFUSION, as in "Dick has a wealth of

But, I digress. The dictionary also defines wealth as "all property that
has a money value or an exchangeable value, ... all material objects that have
economic utility; especially: the stock of useful goods having economic value in
existence at any one time, as in "national wealth exceeds $3 billion,
my wealth
is $1.28." In this sense, a guide to wealth should be a guide to
making money, as is most of this wealth guide.
